String of Tears also known as
String of Raindrops or String of Beads, is a trailing succulent with delicate,
bead-like leaves that resemble tears or raindrops. It features cascading stems
adorned with small, round leaves that are translucent and green, with a pearly
appearance. This charming succulent is perfect for hanging baskets, adding a
touch of elegance to any indoor or outdoor space.
Growing Conditions- String of
Tears and string of Hearts have similar
growing conditions.
1.Soil- The String of Tears requires well-drained
porous soil for better growth. Use a succulent or cactus potting mix that
provides good drainage. Add perlite or coarse sand to the soil mix to improve
drainage.
2.Watering- The String of tears has low to
moderate water requirements. Allow the soil to dry out partially between
waterings, and then water thoroughly. It's better to underwater than overwater.
3.Temperature- The String of Tears prefers
moderate temperatures between 15°C -27°C. It can tolerate slightly cooler
temperatures but should be protected from frost and freezing conditions.
4.Humidity- The String of Tears is adaptable to
average household humidity levels. String of tears does well in 40%-50%
humidity level.
5.Light requirements- The String of Tears prefers bright,
indirect sunlight. It thrives in bright, filtered light or partial shade. Avoid
placing it in direct sunlight, especially during the hottest part of the day,
