Benefits/Uses-Aglaonema snow white plant is one of the best indoor plants which helps in purifying the air. It eliminates mainly benzene, Formaldehyde from the air.

Growing Conditions-

1.Soil- Loose, well-drained soil mixture can be used for aglaonema plants. One can use slightly acidic loamy soil that is rich in organic matter. Perlite and vermiculite can be used for proper drainage.

2.Watering-Aglaonema plants should be watered once in every 1 or 2 weeks.

3.Temperature-Maintain average to warm room temperature between 18°C to 29°C for better growth of the plant.

4.Humidity-Moderate to high humidity is beneficial for the plant. A humidity around 70% is more suitable for Aglaonema plant.

5.Light Requirements-Aglaonema prefers bright to medium indirect light. It can tolerate low light but the growth will slow in low light conditions.

6.Fertilization-Balanced water soluble NPK can be given every month or every two month during spring and summer. Reduce the frequency of fertilization during winter months.

7.Flowering-The plant produces cream/off-white flower. Plant generally blooms during late winter and continues up to summer months. The plant is typically used as a houseplant for its attractive foliage rather than its flowers.

8.Important Diseases-Common problems associated with aglaonema plants are root rot problem, browning of leaf tips etc. These problems are observed due to overwatering and for poorly drained soil.

9.Important Pests-The most common pest of aglaonema plant is Mealy bug. They attack the plant and suck the sap of the plants. Leaves become yellowish in color and plant shows wilted symptom. Other than this aphid attack can also be seen in aglaonema plants. Use neem oil or insecticidal soaps for controlling the pests.

10.Pruning-Prune any yellowish or damaged leaves. Remove dust / debris  debris from the leaves periodically.

11.Propagation-These plants can be propagated through stem cuttings. Take a stem cutting with few nodes and place it in a well-drained potting mix. Keep the mix moist until root development.
