Growing Conditions-

1. Soil Requirement- Naag Champa prefers well-drained soil that is rich in organic matter. A loamy soil mix with good drainage is suitable for its growth.

2. Watering- Water the plant regularly, keeping the soil evenly moist. Avoid overwatering or allowing the soil to become waterlogged, as it can lead to root rot. Allow the soil dry out slightly before watering again.

3. Temperature Requirement- The plant thrives in tropical and subtropical climates, with temperatures between 20°C to 35°C. It is not frost-tolerant and prefers warm temperatures.

4. Humidity- Naag Champa prefers high humidity levels and warm growing conditions.

5. Light Requirement- The plant requires full sun to partial shade. It prefers bright light to promote healthy growth and flowering. At least 4-5 hours of bright direct sunlight is required for better growth.

6. Fertilization- Apply a balanced slow-release fertilizer during the growing season to provide essential nutrients. Use a fertilizer specifically formulated for flowering plants. Phosphorus based fertilizer such as bone meal can be used for more flowering.

7. Flowering- Naag Champa blooms throughout the year, but the peak flowering season is typically from spring to summer. The flowers are large, fragrant, and often used in religious ceremonies and for making garlands.

8. Important Diseases- Naag Champa can be susceptible to fungal leaf spots and root rot. Ensure good air circulation around the plant, avoid overwatering, and promptly remove any infected leaves to prevent the spread of diseases.

9. Important Pests- Common pests that can affect the plant include scales, mealybugs, and caterpillars. Regularly inspect the plant for signs of pest infestation and take appropriate pest control measures, such as using insecticidal soap or neem oil.

10. Pruning- Prune the plant  lightly after flowering to maintain its shape and remove any dead or diseased branches. Pruning can also promote branching and a more compact growth habit.
